The purpose of the present article is to set forth the first chapter of the deduiction of pure mathematics from its logical foundations.

이 글의 목적은, 논리적 기초로부터 순수수학의 추론의 첫 챕터를 설명하는 것이다.

This first chapter is necessarily concerned with deduction itself, i. e.( = id est, that is to say, in other words) with the principles by which conclusions are inferred from premisses.

이 첫 챕터는 반드시 [추론 그 자체]와, 즉 [전제로부터 결론을 추론하는 원칙]과 반드시 연관되어있다.

If it is our purpose to make all our assumptions explicit, and to effect the deduction of all our other propositions from these assumptions, it is obvious that the first assumptions we need are those that are required to make deduction possible.
